All I have to say is “wow”. The locomotive is actually metal. It smokes; it has a whistle; it lights up; and it’s a train. The power pack is nice and stout also. For anyone who had train sets as a kid, this is a blast from the past. It reminds me more of my father’s Lionel set from 40-50s than the plastic one I got one Christmas as a kid. I like this toy. It is really like the movie with all the characters, and offers great features (the sounds, mobility,the hiding roof) and accessories (the panoramic background). You have to take into consideration, though, that it is really for kids 6 and up and it is very bulky. Those of you who are in small apartments (like in my case) or do not have an area where you can build it and leave it there for a while, will end up not using it too much. (Jodie H – Campbell, CA)
